I wish this manga gets the same treatment like what Stigmata got. It was published in Seinen magazine then years later its sequel is at BL magazine. I mean Ao no Flag is shonen, published at Jump+ that belongs to Shueisha and Shueisha has .bloom (dot bloom) for BL genre. Stigmata's sequel is published there (.bloom) too. If the mangaka wants to expand what happened to Touma & Taichi's relationship during that 7 years time skip, there's a possibility it'll be printed as BL manga.
But we can't know whether Kaito will expand it or not.
Anyway Seiya & Touma kitchen scene is the most painful for some readers. Seiya's words => reassurance that's needed by those who want to come out of the closet but sadly many never get.
