I agree, I think aki will have amnesia as well
I have the same thought as well.. Haha.. To make the chptrs longer, so, why don't we just let the character has amnesia.. Then, the new arc continue. (￣∇￣")

I think akihito will have amnesia and Asami will be like "okay let's not involve akihito and keep him away from my dangerous world and not tell him that we even know each other" then act like strangers or something like that. After falling like that, somebody HAS TO HAVE AMNESIA AND FORGET THE OTHER ONE. Could also go a different route, both are okay, Asami leaves the underworld for akihito nd both live happily ever after on some Caribbean island sniffin mushrooms or somthin. Also, fei long and mikhail=Hawtttt shitt, my 2nd ship sailing too (at the cost of the main one)
