I didn't really get it did the butler chain him because he wanted to keep him? Or is he not allowed to leave because of something else

I think it's because the butler wanted to have the whole household back. Basically the past. But mc here is different and so after "visiting" the butler, he'll leave right away. Butler don't want that so he locking mc out

Actually with regards to this chapter, it lacked plot. I couldnt figure out why the butler is cuffing him when this person wants to stay with him anyways.
I guess you could say they're both insecure of each other thats why cuffs are their way of reassurance.
