Girl, first of all its on her perspective she didnt know how powerful the mc was. Heck, hes even in coma
Second, if u were her. Wouldnt u want to be the one to take out ur "arch enemy?" And she clearly has power but not enough. Her intention was good.
You're only seeing this and knew the power of any character but she cant. It is called the reader perspective. Either u lack emphaty or you just want the mc to take the spotlight everytime. Being op all the time. Having no conflict with other character is just so bland and no flavor. We're only in early phase. Ni need to call her out just because she "steals" ur oppa's spotlight
