soooo in the First and present Timeline, the father Loved juvel, He Cares a Lot for her and tries to protect her from the emperor as He knows that she is the fathers weakness which is why the ml a.c.a. the crown Prince and the only aprentice of the father goes to the doungens to Help her. The father gave her the dagger to protect herself until He could come to get her wich is why He sent down His pupile, but our female lead who didnot know of her fathers strugel because of the emperor could Not understand her father until the end.
The emperor is a piece of shit who Had abandoned the kingdom once when they where attacked by an enemy Army. The father Back then was only a Knights but He Had tanken the lead in protecting the kingdom sucsesfully which Made him the Hero for everyone. Because of that the emperor hot scared and Had Starter to threthen the Fl's father with His douthers live. So the father Had to choice but to follow the emperors commands which is why He was almost never Home and tries to keep her at a distance.
AS for why the father didn't Just kill the emperor, He couldn't because of an artifact/object the First emperor left behinde. The First emperor was the strongest mage and left some objects that contained His powers, one of Those is in the Hands of the present emperor, it is a Ring, AS to what Power it has, was Not ,yet mentioned but one Thing is for sure the female leads live depends on that Ring. As the father often says in the novel that the emperor has no need for concerns as He still Has "that" in His Hands.
In the present timeline the father is Working from the Shadows to keep His little Girl Happy, even treating her "Not so Worthy Boyfriend" good, and keeping the pests from coming to Close to her. But He still Has to Peace her sometimes when the emperor falls for hin because His sorry ass was attacked.....that happened soo often in the First Timeline but as our FL is acting different from her past self the Story chenges a Lot and so dose the father in His concerns for His little Girl.
ahhh i’m worried this is going to be like every isekai and redeem the shitty father. maybe he had his reasons for acting the way he did, but he neglected his own child and distanced her and treated her in a shitty way.
