Back when those stories were still starting, those characters got a lot of hate too. They actually developed as a character as the story progressed and u can see the depth in their character. Let people hate Yahwi now and judge how his character is gonna develop. The anger of the readers is valid because he still hasn't apologized to Jooin PROPERLY and we have yet to see a big progress on his character.
Yeah, I'm excited to see his character development. But Seungho is still a jerk right now. Dojin and Jiwoon did change for the better. BUT THEY'RE HATING ON YAHWI BUT SIMPING ON SEUNGHO IS SO LOW.

For me, rape IN A STORY is okay if it's part of the plot. What's not okay is romanticizing it. Rape in general is a big NO.

I think a large part of it is the setting. There were no real attractive alternatives to Seungho. Here, we DO have an attractive alternative to Yahwi (ie Cain) and Cain is even a major character and part of the known love triangle (though he hasn't gotten much time yet lol).
Also, with the setting, PON is set in a world where Seungho has MUCH more power than most other characters and certainly the uke, and everyone acknowledges there is a power hierarchy where Seungho is on the top and can do whatever he wants without consequences. As a reader, we don't expect him to face too many consequences because we know that as well.
But Yours To Claim is set in a universe where Yahwi and Jooin SHOULD be equals. Yeah Yahwi is richer and hotter, but in a modern day universe, that does NOT give Yahwi the power to do whatever he wants without consequences. So ofc we want to see him get rightly punished/not be romanticized when he's behaving unjustly-- unjust by IRL standards, but even unjust by the manhwua's universe standards.
