Manhwas are normally fully coloured and have very consistant and appealing visuals more often than not. Manhuas are also usually fully coloured and have great art. Mangas are more often than not B&W and sometimes the characters are thin to the point where it looks like they will break T-T. But this is not always true..

Like you said, mangas normally have great storylines, even the mangas I read usually only have 5-6 chapters on average, they still give such wonderful story/plot. Manhwas are second for me, because they never cease to amaze me with unique storylines and lovable characters. Manhuas often come across as cringy and extreme for me in terms of storyline (but there are exceptions of course!).
Smut:

Manhwas smuts are absoulutely (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ since there are longer manhwas than mangas, the smut has a wide variety and you get to see the same characters do all types of things with one another. Mangas also have gre~at smut, though in B&W, its sometimes better that way. As for manhuas, I don't actually remember reading a manhua with smut, so they would rank the lowest obviously.
Actually for me it depends mostly on the art and plot line.
With manga, the story is usually interesting but at times the black and white style hurts my eyes.
The smut ...well it might be an unpopular opinion but I'm actually getting sick of seeing it in every single chapter in manga. Like many of the popular yaoi manga (jonjou, dakaichi etc) use this.
Manhwa...I would say it is the best form of yaoi comparing all aspects. The plotline is usually really good( never understand, star x fan boy) and some even have smut !!!( painter of the night ). Art is very easy to follow and its coloured as a bonus.
Manhua ...I am very conflicted here. Many, many manhua are goddamn awful. Both in plot line and art. Awful and super cringey. I would have said that manhua are not worth your time if not for the rare gems of manhua that are avaliable. ( mdzs, tgcf etc). So I feel when it comes to manhua it depends upon the company and the artist who draws the yaoi. Like if the story is super popular and really good then expect the manhua to be awesome.

if you want good chinese BL stories/manhuas, i look for the ones that are adapted from a novel. Or just the novel itself.
Yes ! Most of the good manhua I ve found are the adaptations of good novels (lol).
But I ve come across a few manhuas which arent from a novel and seem to be pretty good.
I love yaoi. In terms of art my ranking goes like this
Korean manhwa, Chinese manhua and Japanese manga.
In terms of content
Japanese manga(those ones be deep), Chinese manhua(there are some deep quality content if only translated properly) then korean manhwa(the art and the men are always drawn beautifully... The content are annoying these days with the rape and all)
In terms of smut quality
Korean manhwa(A+ for the authors), Japanese manga(smut is nice too) then Chinese manhua(little or no smut... Sad).
