It drives me nuts... I fucking hate it, and then I also laugh and it ruins everything.
I have that weird thing with my brain where I can hear someone's voice when I'm reading--or i guess its better to say I give them a voice--so I hear that sound effect and it's such a turn off. Which is a big bummer when you finally get a sexy scene from such a build up. Just kind of makes you wo der what the team is thinking while translating and editing. Did no one even mention it? At all? Its a super awkward sound effect for sex, so why not replace it?!
If someone made that sound while in bed with me, I would for sure feel like I was doing something wrong! Maybe even painful! LOL
I've seen it in half a dozen other translated webtoons and it's always the same font. At first I thought it was just one particular scan team doing it, but now I'm wondering if it's in the official English releases? It's just... so... not sexy!!! Just like you say, it's more like drowning. Or maybe unclogging a toilet. But not homina homina time.
Serious "ubt" is so not sexy. It was all over "A Good Day to go Crazy" sex scenes too. No one makes that sound during sex--foreign or no. Its a sound made when drowning! Why would you not immediately change it to something sexier? Totally kills vibes for me. Also, is it a little weird for anyone else that we're suddenly getting a steamy sex scene? Minus the unflattering sound effects, it's pretty kinky and that just has not been the overall feel I've gotten from this fluffy manwha. . . Was cat-play supposed to be considered fluffy??? I mean, super swesome, just kind of thrown into left field here. Lol
