a little something to add to your comment about Akito: in the trilogy that follows the ending of fruits basket (Fruits Basket Another) we get to see that Akito did not, in fact, live her life withought consequences for her actions. We don't get the whole scale of it, since the story is told from the point of view of a new character. But we see that Akito tries to make amends for her mistakes, but is constantly rejected and reminded of what she did by the Shoma family in general. She does live a rather "tranquil" life, per se, but not without consequences. It's a great little read if you ever want to give it a go.
u make a fair point about the story being told by another person. I always like to imagine that akito go to prison for her crimes, especially when she tried to kill Rin twice.
In a way, chowon reminds me of akito sohma from fruits basket. Both were nasty to people and hurt people and both have the same hairstyle and demeanor. The fact that akito got a happy ending in the end without facing the consequences really pisses me off. How do you think chowon will differ from akito?
