If I would blame anyone I would blame Violet's parents. Her father was neglectful and rejects her. And her mother was obsessed over a man who didn't love her. Also the Prince's secretary or whatever keeps forcing Violet and Prince to around each other.

uGh, if you look it at everyones pov then none of them did anything wrong but just did what they believed was right. Thats the most sad part, you cant even blame anyone.. （TДT)
Violet was mentally strong and was composed. Got abused (kinda) by her mum to look like a boy and was called a fake. She got scars and grew to be strong. Then she met Prince Claudia and had motives to use him for her benefits. But she slowly starts falling for him, later on her sister, Maryjun, steals his attention with no effort. With Violet jealous because she tried everything to bully Maryjun. With that, Prince Claudia has the feels to protect her and in the process falls in love. Violet gets angry because she had nothing, and tries to kill Maryjun because she stole everything.
Maryjun was a commoner, had nothing until she came into Violets family. Thought of everything in her pov because she knew nothing but to go along with what she believed. Got bullied by Violet just because all she did was breathe and go along with Prince Claudia. But in the process fell in love. Nearly got killed by Violet of her jealous and gets traumatised . Ends up putting Violet into prison and having her happy ending.
Yulan...(have no words, he best boy he be boasting...jk), was bullied when younger because was a 'fake' to the family. Everyone says his eyes are ugly until Violet says different. Gets saved by her and follows Violet. As time goes by, he slowly falls in love with her. But sadly he slowly sees her fall in love with not him but his own brother.
Prince Claudia was a person who believed and prejudiced to early. Never looked at others pov properly. Claudia got chased by a girl, Violet, constantly. He ignores it for a bit but sees someone else, Maryjun. For that, that very person suffers by bullying by Violet. Prince Claudia gets angry and rightfully punishes her.
If you read this you can see everyones pov (not really just the main peeps), everyone didn't do anything wrong wrong but just did what they think right. Loved the characters, but i ship Yulan x Violet uwu
