Because they got over the trauma and doesn't expect people to care
People do this in everyday life as well, its just so normalized in rl. When reading plot lines like that it seems so weird that the mc is ok with it.
She got over it. Ppl handle traumas differently. When her teacher came, she was happy and contented
like they be like,
"OH THEY USED TO STAB ME 60 TIMES A DAY AND TRY SELLING MY ORGANS BUT IT'S OKAY NOW CAUSE I SLEPT FOR A MONTH"
AND THEY EXPECT PEOPLE TO BE OK AFTER HEARING THAT?????
