We're hating Mary for some spoilers about her that were posted a while back (I won't specify what since they're, you know, spoilers)

If you don't mind could you tell me? I probably missed it because i can't imagine Mary being someone to be hated.

I don't like her because she is SUPER DENSE. Like, Violet is pretty uncomfortable around her. Can't she tell? Hasn't she heard about Vilolet's mother? Her parents are useless in that sense, but certainly some of the servants told her...?

it certainly as u said. But I dun have enough reason to hate her yet author potrays her as pure and kind hearted so far. I was touched when she said she likes her sister more than anyone. It is understandable that vio is still hurting given what she experience in the past. From the chaps violet wanted to push through what happen in the future like mary and prince be together. Well we all know Since Mary is not bullied and being protected by the prince from vio and violette doesnt bother the prince and all. everything changes. Mary might reaaally fall for yulan and i reaaaally fuckin hate that to happen. She be like trashta out of nowhere. Dumbshit but a cunning bitch. ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

apparently she asked Vio to introduce her to Yulan in front of the dad, so their dad forces Vio to let her stick to Yulan. It's more of a problem with the dad then directly with Mary, but the fact that she's so damn oblivious about how terrible their dad is to Vio, to the point of (at least unconsciously) using it against her is really, REALLY annoying. I haven't exactly read ahead, so it could sound worse than it actually is, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.

Damn... Well you're all definitely right in hating her. Yes the dads ultimately at fault and really really messed up but the fact that Mary doesn't pick up on anything after seeing how he converses with vio compared to her, on top of now wanting Yulan who she knows very well is close to vio and literally the only one vio has cuz im sure she has to know in some sense that she and Vio aren't emotionally that close, i can't say she's innocent at this point. She is, in hind sight, one of the worst possible characters. Cuz, she's "unknowingly" causing people to suffer because she acts on impulse for justice and love and is oblivious to others feelings, failing to read the mood and educate herself properly, and its something that a part of her character so she will never truly understand she's in the wrong and will always be forgiven in a sense because she doesn't look past her own thoughts and feelings. She never considers others perspectives. In the alternate world where she married the crown prince and became queen, lord help the people.
