He’s just sick, before he got home he was at the hospital because he wasn’t feeling well and got an IV.
(Later in the chapter)
He goes to pick the uke from the drinking place and while they were driving back home the uke drops the ring by accident outside of the car and tells him to stop and they get off and look for it. After talking in the street they make up (I’m Hispanic/Mexican but my spanish isn’t that good lol so sorry if something is incorrect) but anyways they are not fighting or anything like that anymore:)
