Talking abou r@p3

Surprisingly in this topic section people still talking about r@p3 when you've must know that r@p3 is a common thing in yaoi manhwa, we don't normalize r@p3 but this is fiction and it's your choice to keep read it or not but I suggest don't read any yaoi again if you still can't handle r@p3 thing since yaoi is all about "dislike = curious = rape = love" that the cycle of every yaoi manhwa so I don't get it why people still surprised by the r@p3 when they have read worse than that, if you still can't handle r@p3 I suggest you read Shounen ai genre instead since there's definitely no r@p3 there's :)

I totally agree with you on this subject it’s honestly fake and others don’t get that .. most yaoi stories have this dynamic. Don’t read the story diff you get mad/frustrated with it..( I’m not normalizing it I’m just saying it’s fiction and not real if this was real it would be a while other thing.)

But why does rape in yaoi have to be so common? Even it being common is what causing it be normalized. I think another big problem with BL is the desensitization of rape.

For instance you said that you “ don't get it why people still surprised by the r@p3 when they have read worse than that” but that right there is a big indicator of becoming desensitized from seeing rape in BL so many times repeatedly.

I think it’s important that rather discouraging readers to look away or stop reading BL because of rape. We take time to point it out and discuss it as further ourselves from becoming complacent with it occurring . Because once we start being desensitized is when we start to normalize this behaviour.

Thanks for reading this far lol!

Rape in yaoi is so common, idk why but it's one of a action that will give us a things called development in the story, ain't it quite obvious that rape in yaoi were so common? How many years have you read yaoi manhwa/manga? If you just read yaoi since corona is no wonder you still surprised by the rape, and I think it's better to stop reading if people still salty about rape in yaoi manhwa it's disrespectful enough we read it in illegal site and now we judge the story? Funny enough,
Better read Shounen ai if people can't handle the rape things though.
Btw we don't normalize the rape in real life because this is fiction so we just pass it like nothing :)

No, I’ve been reading BL for years now. And it no longer shocks me when there’s a rape scene, but it still disgusts me when I see/read it. I think I’m still able to be disgusted by it, even after all these years of reading it, is because I don’t allow myself to say “oh, it’s just fiction” or “well there’s nothing I can do about it.”

Also, I think we’ve already normalized to the point where it’s beginning to affect others. If you read the uploader’s message at the end, they talk about how they were raped while being drunk and struggled to come to terms with for a long time. Then they come on here to see people debate wether that same situation constitutes as rape or if the victim “liked it.” Indirectly invalidating the uploader’s experience.

This narrative is only occurring because people no longer care about rape scenes being shown in BL anymore and actively ignore. Now those same people question if being raped while drunk, is even rape.

Also on your point about “judging the story,” we are allowed to judge and criticize and say what we like or dislike in the story. And of course reading the story illegally isn’t optimal, but if the story is bad, we can say it’s bad. Or if we don’t like how a specific part of the story was written, we can say it. I don’t think only allowing positive views to be commented will do anyone any good.
