I understand. It is still a NO GO for me that an arrogant bloodthirsty father almost kills his own daughter, only sparing her because she caught his interests and then gets the daughter's love... I don't have to name you the other "Reborn as a neglected daughter of a shitty father tyrant king"!
There are even worse Novel/Webtoon fathers...:
In "Actually, I was the Real One" that cold hearted cruel neutral of MC doesn't do anything and he still gets away with everything. And the MC still stays and kinda forgives him at the end of the novel!
In "Please I Swear I won't Bother You" the MC is still so helpless against her biased father!
At least in "Please Throw Me Away" the MC has the guts to talked back at her abusive brother and manipulating father even though it took several chapters with the help of the dark knight in shining black armor that keeps saving her...
Shitty fathers also in:
The Young Lady is A Royal Chef (I really dislike all the male members)
When The Villainess Loves (Incompetent father doesn't let MC go)
Momoiro Heaven (Manga - Dead beloved Playboy father leaves his family with nothing but debts and MC has to fall in love with a young playboy with issues and rejecting 2nd ML)

I think I prefer the premise and characters of "Monster Duke's Daughter" over "Suddenly Became a Princess One Day" because Lottie is much more of cute badass than Athy (reborn modern korean girl) and the Monster Duke does not try to and kill his own daughter more than one time (Claude + Athy first lake scene). I like the art style quality of "Suddenly Became a Princess One Day" but I do not like the logic of this story. Many people keep praising this story but all I see is a fucked up asshole of father who amost kill Athy on several occasions and the author excuses his behaviour because he is so beautiful, was tortured and controlled by his alive older brother the whole time who also caused his recent memories loss... And Athy is the typical self-sacrificing FL who has to keep suffering until the ML/Father is completely reformed...
I am so glad Lottie doesn't need to kiss the ass of a tyrant to survive and then develops feelings for her abuser/killer. Seen that toxic trope too often enough!
