I think what he meant about that was they were childhood friends, see in one chapter there was a picture of him and yahwi when they were just kids, so maybe they are childhood friends.
he's being a good and nice person (so far). he has only showed a suspicious trait, and that was glaring and looking a bit more than annoyed at jooin and yahwi's contact.
