Ray wants to take revenge on Francois (the guy with black hair also the reason why both Ray parents are gone) Ray uses the Princess in order to have a power in the society. As for Ian- he is also one of the many Ray needs to use but I guess Ray really has a feelings for Ian it's just that revenge is his first priority for now.
