what I see a lot with especially Yaoi, is readers giving assholes way too many passes.. Chowon paid some thugs to kidnap Heesoo and then commanded them to rape him... like??? Fortunately, it never got to that point, but the intention is what matters.. How did people forget that? He never apologized or at least we never saw him apologize ... He didn't even get punished cuz he agreed to go to therapy ... damn - like do some of y'all give passes to these kind of people in real life too?

And for what reason do people like Chowon? Because he is pretty and let some random Beta (lets not forget he despises betas) bang and date him?

I mean I'm for second chances and all but isn't Chowon way over the second chance mark?

Right lmfoa if it was just a normal Josei or shoujo I would have been KAM. Sigh... sure chowon should get his happy ending too but just not with kyungsoo.

Also, we never saw him in a therapy session, did we?
If they wanted us to truly believe that Chowon has changed, they should have shown us him going to therapy, treating others more kindly etc. ...

To be fair if you go to a therapist who talks to you like you are a psycho or doesn’t seem to acknowledge that the rest of the world sees you that way how beneficial will therapy be and he isn’t taking the psych meds prescribed to him either. He clearly needs to take mood stabilizers but he has no motivation to do so since he was depressed over Dojun and the revelation that Dojun never actually loved him. So it’s actually complex. Also technically second chances are determined by the one being apologized to giving them that chance. All of the characters, main cast, in this story have done terrible or morally ambiguous things to one another. So it’s completely up to them to try and change those things

Honestly, what I read in your comment is excuses.. nobody ever said that Chowon's situation isn't complex, but to change there has to be some kind of will in Chowon...
nobody will fix you things for you, you have to fend for yourself... Yeah Dojun didn't love him and divorced him, but that still doesn't justify Chowon's actions.. also do we know that the therapist would have treated him like a psycho? Excuses.

Yeah a lot of the characters have been trashy, but being criminal is a whole different thing...

Not mad but all you mentioned may happen after the drama. Maybe whatever KS's reaction is will be the turning point for him to pursue those what you mentioned (therapy, pills..) Also, the comment above, as well as the side stories, are not made to justify nor excuse CW's action but to understand him even a little. Well, it's up to you to try and understand his point of view and what's little of what we've been given about his life.

Yes, that might be what the author is going for and I'm here for it...

Also what we know about his life is that his parents have super high expectations and that Chowon has some sense of superiority...

pls understand that it's hard to like someone who is criminal and hasn't shown any kind of remorse yet + has still a super shitty attitude

I hope we will see some character development soon (but development bc Chowon wants it himself and not because he feels like he has to do it for Kyungsoo)
