The princess turns out to be the villain I don't blame her. Despite, her clear capability and talent. She has to watch as men who clearly lacking the criteria to be ruler (like her talentless cousin Gaspal) be considered over her on the basis of sex alone. Any achievement she or any woman does gets downplayed or acknowledged only with backhanded compliments and empty gestures. The FL original fate is another example of how women are perceived as inferior to men in this universe's society. It was shit for women even before the "demon army" arrived. The FL's current husband seems to be the exception.
