I like your theory and just to add it can also be Melissa snapped and scare the shit out of migen cause like from the pattern of the plot ╮(￣▽￣)╭ the author like to build tension then a comedy curve ball out of nowhere (￣∇￣") just a thought cause like author like to showcase melissa is the true Villainess
so what I think will happen is in the original story it was Jack who awakened to his wolf powers or whatever because of a traumatic experience (seeing the FL get kidnapped or sm), but this time around it's gonna be Nine because he either wants to protect Melissa or sm will happen to Melissa that triggers it. I don't know any spoilers, I'm just speculating. It just seems like the story is building up for that with Nine's flashbacks woven into the current happenings, and I think that would be very interesting (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
