I think that girl who peeked is the FL's sister? Or someone she cares about, that committed suicide(maybe?), died and is now a lost soul. The little monk saw the girl and asked what she wanted. And maybe she wished something from the monk that involved her sister.

And so that's what i think. I might not be accurate but this is just a speculation.

I kinda get the gist of why the little monk did the switcheroo between them for a month. And just a guess... spoiler alert its kinda sad(maybe?) Or just heartfelt i think. If you read between the lines and notice some details u might get it. (=・ω・=)
