Because MC will keep treating chance badly even though their circumstances now is different under the guise that it is for Chance and Lucy future. Mc will be the one that destroy Chance life.

i still feel like its kinda unfair to judge the story based on out-of-context spoilers. unless you know korean, you don't really know what's going on and what the characters are saying. wait till the end and then make your judgment call, if the characters were in the wrong or not

im gonna defend henry here, he's trying to make his mistake right. i don't think he's using chance and lucy's future as an excuse to treat chance badly?? he's frustrated with the situation and has this huge burden to shoulder by himself, idk why is he made out to be a villain

I understand your point, that currently the MC is ahouldering that burden but the Chance now doesn't have knowledge of those, so from his point of view his best friend out of the sudden treats him coldly without any explanation. By him trying to correct his mistake, he is hurting the Chance now.
