Base on what I understand on the raws (I don't understand chinese so I must be mistaken or something this statement is only base on what I understand through the drawing and flow of envents)
Yan ci's father faked his death to get back yan ci and work for him... (Especially that he is so close to qiming when they were still a child and tried to protect him so he was shot in qiming's stead) so back to the story yan ci is a spy to qiming's family, yan ci's father betrayed qiming's father by implanting young yan ci to his house

So yan ci was a spy from the beginning there was no anatoli as his brother said

In my own opinion as a reader, I think Yan ci is genuine tho? In what I've understand in the past chapters it seems like Yan Ci met his father later on his childhood...probably around after his father fake his death. Tho I'm not suresure, just basing it with Yan Ci's flashback and such.
