Err from what i can tell, she definitly means more to him than someone he can just fuck. Shexs not just someone random, they knew each other before the Empress came along so I can only assume that something happed between them to make him love and trust her so much. Yeah but thats all we've seen her do, they have a past together we haven't seen. So you can't really assume thats all she did to get in his heart. But yeah if someones there to comfort you when you're sad and emotionally damaged you can't really fault them for trusting them and falling in love either.
