what does -nim mean?

i was reading trash of the counts family and noticed they put
-nim at the end of some peoples name and is curious what it means, could someone pls explain?

    it's just a really polite or respectful way to call someone which basically means Mr., Mrs, etc but in a more respectful way, if i'm not wrong

    -Nim is like -Sama in Japanese. The most polite form.
    -Sshi is like -San in Japanese. It's just like mr/ms/mrs.
