I don't think people are ignoring it.
It's almoore's characteristics to be a push over in the story. And even if you say that he is mistreated, he still is loyal to aseph.
You're thinking too much.
Aseph's character is to be evil.. and we love him as he is..
You can't expect aseph to change 360 just coz he has been in love with a girl for like 2 weeks. He already stopped killing people (almore was supposed to be his first victim after his evil step mum) and he has been molded into this "villain" role over a long period of time. I like how the author didn't just change him like that with the snap of a finger, it would have cheapened the characters and the story. Golden boi is making progress steadily so he's gonna still bark at almore but if you've read the latest chapter you will see that he was shocked that almore even thought that aspeh would abandon or sacrifice him. That's massive character growth.
