I am not from the "art" world but maybe the industry works differently in korea compared to where you are. I am assuming you are not korean since you are reading it here...but I wouldn't really expect all stories to reflect how the real world works..after you factor in cultural differences...
Also...the tv show "the office" got the whole paper industry messed up too but that didn't stop the show from being popular... so I don't really understand the point you were trying to make...
I think it's completely fine if you disagree, I get that different people care about different aspects more and for different aspects less especially when it's about this sort of genre ha, but to me it wasn't about inaccuracy. Many of my problems didn't have to do with the art gallery part being unrealistic, but about bad writing and 0 base level logic. I mean, the suspension of disbelief can only go so far. If I can't take seriously anything happening, then how am I supposed to care about anything?
If I read yaoi that promises more than excuses for smut, then I want an actual story, nothing literature level, but let's say... basic human logic level? A skilled writer doesn't just throw up things on paper. If you write about an industry, you need to understand its BASICS, no? I don't see why this couldn't have been a design company for example. Then many problems I mentioned would be solved. Design companies even hire artists for stuff so the omegas dad could have still been an artist they work with. And they would ACTUALLY be hiring him, meaning he could ACTUALLY get fired! Boom, problem solved. Why an art gallery if you can only write about an office and don't want to bother knowing what a gallery is like?
Also hiring your love interest when they have 0 qualifications for the position because you want them to warm up to you so you can fuck them again... I mean to me at least, that's gross and unethical and made the alpha guy despicable. And again, with some basic research you'd know that this is actually a huge problem in the art world with art galleries, which just made it worse in my eyes.
More than anything, everything happening were only plot devices that had no meaning, like the dad getting fired was a plot device to get the omega to hate the alpha, and since it was only a plot device, the alpha couldn't do the thing a normal human being would do, which is hire the dad back and apologize and explain to them what happened, the author had to leave the misunderstanding open, so the omega could keep on hating him. The whole curator embezzlement thing was also swept under the rug since it fulfilled its purpose to the plot, even though probably realistically that would have ruined their gallery for a while (and any business ever), we saw none of that, since it wasn't convenient.
And yeah, for me, these things are important I guess. Writing a story, even if it's a yaoi reincarnation omegaverse webtoon (lol), needs to have some coherent logic, or else... why not just find excuses for them to just have sex all the time, and forget about writing a real romance?? Or maybe idk... write something less complicated???? Like jesus, if you want THIS much drama already in their present, then where the hell did the reincarnation plot go??? Also the present day drama has NOTHING to do with their old lives, which makes everything even more confusing...
I'm not going to analyze the "romance" here or anything, but if we aren't shown that they like each other because of "reincarnation instinct" (which could be interesting since it's like the "destined pair dilemma" omegaverse stories use), then there's actually no other reason the omega liked the alpha no? After all he's an asshole that for all he knows fired his dad and gave him a job because he really wants to fuck him, and who keeps on abusing his power as his boss to make him go out with him and stay longer at work. I mean... idk about you, but that sounds gross. I'd be scared shitless working there...
And I do actually know a thing or two about the Asian art industry (well, mostly Chinese and Korean than others), even though I am a Northern Europe based artist. The artworld is smaller than you think haha.
Anyways have a good day! I think you and anyone who likes this story is totally valid, I just had a lot of criticism, and maybe because it's my field it was even more annoying to me than the normal brain dead yaoi I find annoying lol..
I actually agree, it's just the concept was good but the flow of the story is just really bad and shallow. Though it's a good read, it doesn't have that much drama either, i honestly think it's just a lighthearted story despite the drama from their past

At first I was like Woahhh a reincarnation/fated lovers story greaaat, then I was like oooh it's an omegaverse/mpreg story too woah, but like all cool.
Then INEXPLICABLE MISUNDERSTANDINGS HAPPEN, and why the fuck did that cousin turn psycho out of nowhere???? If you know your cousin is psycho why the hell do you hang out with him everywhere??? Also if the omega's father was wrongly fired why the fuck is he never hired back into the gallery???? Also what kind of gallery owner doesn't know shit about what goes down in his own fucking gallery??
ALSO, what kind of gallery has security guards that kick people out like that, especially artists????? ESPECIALLY if they are artists previously represented by a big gallery as we are supposed to think this is??? Wouldn't that mean that even if they were no longer a popular artist other people who work in the art world had at least heard of them??? ALSO, why the fuck did the omega get hired as a curator despite having 0 CREDENTIALS??? And then his job is a desk job??? Do these people even know what galleries are like??? Artists and Curators alike make very little money so why is the job given to a salaryman? They could have literally given him the job of secretary (since apparently this gallery has a whole ass secretarial office) and made the guy who did the embezzlement a secretary, not even talking about how no one looks like they work in a freaking gallery.... The amount of money they make is the SAME! 0!!!!)
Also, you wanna bone a guy who hates you but you don't even bother explaining to him that you were not the one who "fired" his dad??? WHAT? Also curators don't have to memorize artist names lmao because they are supposed to be the ones who fucking already know and have picked them out... why are you having him learn their names like he's going to fill in a quiz.... a curator's job, just like an artist's job has nothing to do with bureaucracy like this....
