Nope almost 100% positive that the Mage is the ML I don't see her thinking of the prince in that light? She sees him more as a "master" than a lover at least that's what I think but he likes her but it's just one sided
(〜￣△￣)〜 if it was possible I had hoped that this wouldn't be a romance TAT but if there is a ship then i hope it's with Ernon he's so wholesome....... then again it seems the prince is the ML *wails*
