Yeahhhh he may be a bit sly but yahwi did way worse with no regard for jooins emotions! But regardless he’s being really mysterious, the author really wanted us to know Cain was different with all the glaring he did lol so I can see why many people would give up on him so quickly
wait I still don't think Cain is that shady and pretty sure he means he's sorry about tricking him about the room he rented because he probably purposely got a bad place so jooin would let him stay with him... cause he likes him. I'm still holding out that he has pure intentions
