But also, the ML thinks the FL only likes him because he "used" his magic on her. That's why on his birthday he threw her gift away cause he hoped it would shock her out of the hypnosis.
We only know he's a fluff ball cause we get to see his thought process, and his memories. No one else can do that.
Also the FL didn't finish reading the story, so it's also possible she doesn't know about his traumatising childhood. Maybe that wasn't revealed in the parts of the story that she had read.
He has been picking on her, testing her, bossing her around for 10 years. Then she finds out he can hypnotise people. That's making her question their 10 year relationship. Was it really her choice or did he make her? It's not surprising that she's wanting to distance herself from him.
Well this is just a personal opinion of mine. as a reader who can see both sides of the story, i just felt sympathy for the ml. and yes i feel like the fl is stupid getting swayed by everyone telling her what to do when she's the one who has a personal relationship with the ml and the one who knows him best.
oh yea I can totally understand this. but it's also mentioned in one panel when he first approached the ml, she said something about him being sad and used that to her advantage to get close to him. it's just sad to see ml get destroyed inside without even a single person understanding him. imagine the only girl he genuinely likes and wants to rely on suddenly distances herself. as for the fl, i feel like she doesn't even try to make her own decisions, like she's thinking too much of the novel. but it's understandable since this story really is more on a realistic side.
is it just me but i feel like nocton is getting so wronged? he's a fluff ball who sticks to the fl's words because she's the only one he genuinely likes. but everyone is out there being wary of him and making him look super bad when in reality he just doesn't know how to express himself and that can also explain why he always look emotionless.
and can we pinpoint how the fl is kinda stupid???? like girl seriously how could you be so naive?? i honestly feel like it's unfair how they look at everything with one sided opinion. and the fl is aware of the ml's inner feelings based on the novel she read, typical ml who suffered from a traumatizing childhood yet she doesn't even consider this as a factor to why the ml is acting like that. but i hate that is is very realistic too, like this is something that will happen in real life with those entangled layers of misunderstandings. this is confusing and very frustratinggg #－.－)
