If he did the hypnosis would break. Everything has to be very specific, down to the name and the way he acts. If he was truthful, he risks breaking the hynopsis - that and he's an emotionally depraved child with trust issues so there's that

1st of all, how can you just decide that Ed and Edward are the same ?? in a novel were villain and hero exist it's crucial info!! As she said she should have taken this potion straight away!!
But then again, the guy is a bit of a weirdo, nah he even looks like a psycho to me sheesh but he doesn't want to hurt her, and all his actions had a reason behind it, reason that he should have FUCKING talked about at one point!!!!
