after the end of a season in a manhwa we normally have to wait months or maybe even a whole year for the next season to come out & the Wait includes the chapters having to be translated too. But In other words the creator/author/artists idk what you wanna call them, take a break from uploading or whatever

a hiatus is when authors take a break for some weeks or even months sometimes from a season to Another. I think it's mostly for organizing new chapters.
