This I think is the crux of the problem. The author probably threw in the reincarnation part because that's really popular right know and people will read it just for that. But honestly, it servers no purpose in the story. The twins never use memories or experiences from their past life and they aren't making mature decisions despite the fact that they keep referring to there mental age as 25. This comment section would be a lot less heated if they were actually just 5 year olds because then at least their inconsistent actions would make a bit of sense.
Other then that, I still feel the feel the author did a bad job with the twins' trust issues. It's really ... inconsistent. I think Estrella from 'The Princess in the Dumpster' is a much more believable example of a child processing trauma. If they acted more like her but x5 more distrustful of everyone I'd be happy.
Their reincarnation is so pointless. Why be 25 years mentally only to behave like little children? I wish they were just normal 5 year old twins. For adults trapped in children bodies, they are really childish. And the story needs to ease up on the misunderstandings.
