Indeed, we are not talking about the sketches. What the drawings are lacking compared to the finished versions is the screentones. They're basically on every single frame usually, but on the magazines few drawings have them (aside from Asami's dramatic frames etc.). And they do actually make a world of difference many times.

So, do you actually buy them? Normally someone would have at least noted screentones were missing if they actually did. Even if you counterargumented that the inking of the characters was finished...
Then again I may be wrong, and for some odd reason you didn't mention it x).
I'm looking forward to the finished drawings anyway impatiently, she really is a master when it comes to screentoning, even if it's not really shown in the magazines :3

Who mentioned unfinished sketches? She does touch ups and redraws as well. There's no use explaining this point further unless you have actually seen the printed volumes and seen the actual difference (I repeat not unfinished sketches but touch ups and redraws).
Akihito's drawing in these two chapters were really not sensei's best, no one is denying that. I don't have any idea as to why it's not as good as usual but I do feel sorry for you if it bothers you that much. Her art has never been super consistent and there were also complaints during the Hong Kong arc that Akihito was being drawn smaller and weaker to compliment the more feminine (compared to Asami) Fei Long at that time. Ironically now people are comparing Akihito to that time and saying he looked so manly then.
Anyway, please continue on with your complaints. It was my mistake to butt in on your opinion. Maybe if you complain enough, the art may improve back to how it used to be. I really have nothing more to add, feel free to discount whatever I've said. :)

Yes, we are talking about the sketches. Screentone (which YES I have seen the difference between the finished and unfinished) isn't going to change the dimensions of Akihito's body. Screentone isn't going to broaden his shoulders and make him grow five inches. If these were rough sketches like this:

Where the line art itself is not final, then your argument might hold water. As it it, it is leaky as a sieve.

You mentioned unfinished sketches: "sometimes the magazine chapters are rushed out and incomplete/not as well drawn but the print versions are touched up and look better."
"Incomplete/not as well drawn" That's a sketch.
If in the final version, she has completely redrawn Akihito to look more like himself, I will be the first to cheer. But I seriously doubt that will happen, unless you can give me an example of a complete redraw of a panel that looked finished in the original version--not counting blank panels that were later filled in or sketched panels like this:
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/you_re_my_loveprize_in_viewfinder/mh/v06/c035/8/
Because again, that's not what we're talking about here. So show me a magazine panel where the line art was clear and finished but maybe without screening that was completely redrawn and I mean completely so that the entire figure looks different. I'll wait.
Meanwhile, I guess I have to explain again why this is problematic for some readers: It's been argued over and over that the art conveys a large part of the story and that that is why Akihito is drawn the way he is. But if that is true--and it isn't a matter of inconsistency (and I disagree that it's inconsistency--but I've already made that point)--then it's a negative change in the character himself. For readers who have invested in this character, a negative reaction to a negative change is natural. But you, of course, have never been dissatisfied with anything and have never complained about sub-par work or returned a defective item. If only everyone was like you...nothing would ever improve.
The mistake wasn't "butting in" as you so charmingly put it so much as your problem with people who have opinions different than yours.

I'm sure she wasn't talking about the sketches. That's why I thought it was odd that you believed that, aha. And maybe by the way I butted in you thought I was her; no I'm not :P
That aside, if the cover magazine was drawn recently, which normally should have been, she still can draw him the same way as she drew him a year ago. It looks very similar to the cover of the series' return. So I dunno, there's hope it comes back?
I mean, I agree with you, and I'm just not looking forward to the chapters anymore as I've already said. I couldn't care less if next chapter comes out in 4-6 months... Even though a year ago I couldn't wait for the next, eh.
In volume 7 she used to swear by "not making Akihito look/act too girly". If she hasn't forgotten that, maybe in the next chapters we'll see her art of him get less boyish. Maybe she's just experimenting, maybe she did it unconsciously, I dunno. I guess she did struggle with it, and only recently it kind of slipped.
Though if he looks the same in the next chapter, after her break, I doubt there's any hope u_u. I'll definitively give up when she'll draw him him with clothes on.
Still excited for the book releases though :3

Yes, I have actually bought them and have thought of a way to prove it since you and the other anonymous are effectively calling me a liar by questioning me.
So: pick any volume from 1-7, any chapter, any page or scene and I will give you the English print translation as it differs from the translation here. You know how I know how different the official print translation is? Because I own them.

Nonono it's alright, I trust you now from your previous post ^^
I don't know you, it seemed wierd that you thought it was the sketches, so I questionned it. Don't get offended by my cluelessness, I didn't mean it to sound "you're totally a liar". Why are people getting that vibe when people that don't know them question their statement? I even said that maybe I was wrong, aha. For all I know you could have been some ranting teenager trying to sound all intelligent.
Which after all I do not believe so. So no, I've never been calling you a liar, I was trying to figure out what kind of person you were.

Actually I have the magazine copy, just read it, and for some odd reason I don't find Akihito that bad? Aside from the fact that he makes puppy faces all the time, the proportions aren't that off from the previous chapters.

Looks close enough? (save the less leaner face)
We just haven't seen him running around without pants recently, with a bunch of layered clothes or a shirt/suit with pants he should look fine I think. That and he's never detailed/in the spotlight in the more recent ones.
Wtf what's up with Akihito's body??? I haven't been here in along time and I just finished reading the recent updated chapters and honestly I'm hella pissed!!! what happened to Akihito model-like body?! what's with this half-hearted and rushed art??while Asami is perfectly drawn, the way Aki is poorly drawn and simply detailed disappoints me! even Kirishima looks awesome while Akihito is thrown into a corner he's a main character dammit!
