This was like a thread of light in the darkness.A lot of people are badmouthing him for sleeping with his concubines like it's strange af, when it isn't, nobles are free to take multiple wives (and it's proven through history) just for fun too but royalty (emperor or sometimes even empress) is mostly (not talking about every single one of them) forced to have concubines to preserve the lineage. Just because he has other women doesn't mean his heart belongs to them, it is a professional relationship where both parties get what they want.
Too bad most of the concubines in stories are jealous of each other resorting to underhanded means.

It’s not disappointing at all. If you compare it in our world now. People will say sex is a form exercise (and refute me with this but it’s true). And try not to compare it to other shoujo manga out there because This manhua his relationship with his concubines is out of duty.
Well... We have different views regarding the topic about "having sex without feelings" so please do understand my whining. Guys don't talk bad about the emperor. You have to understand that he needs to sire an heir. Thus he needs to get married and get them pregnant. It's his duty as the Emperor. Now, if we are talking about his feeling, he is only in love with one person, and that would be our sir Paul, which is admirable even though there's a lot of pretty ladies beside him. And the Concubines relationship with the emperor is also out of duty. And I feel proud of our emperor that even though It's his child with another woman. He is excited and happy with the news.
