I’m pretty sure after he wakes up he gets his memory back from the original novel + memories with the isekai’d athy (so he will think he executed her due to the og novel) its something like this it might not be a 100% though

The thing is that, this world is based on a novel already written and has their own endings.. Whatever happened in the original novel was only rewritten because of Athy's actions and so it took another road..
