didn't really expected the ending to be like that, like suddenly he just came back??? but i honestly think rai is still alive though, i just have this gut feeling because frankie might possibly still feel a connection between the two of them because yknow they formed a contract, like take the context of that time when rael's brother died, rael felt his brother's death, so the probable reason frankie is still going on with the investigation of his master's "death" could be a sign that rai is still alive, because knowing frankie, he would've stopped investigating if he were to truly believe that rai is already dead, so he could be doubting rai's "death" thus made him to investigate. But yeah, kinda sad now that i finished reading, honestly so good and well made, binged for only 3 days straight and slept for only a few hours because i was so hooked (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
