well, it's kinda hard to say it's not the face cuz he literally can only see the girl's face lol. That's the main reason he wants to connect with MC. But surely he will fall for MC (if there's romance) personality as he spends time with him.
What I think will happen is when they switch back again, he won't be able to see her face but see MC's face.
I think the likelihood of ML getting together with the girl is dim. There isn't any reasons or chemistry between the two to be together at this point.
So I've read the author's other work which Torigako Syndrome, which is shonen ai, but the romance is kinda vague and I think it's gonna be the same for this.
I guess it’s even better without romance because then the story is more axed on the psychological side of the characters than their love interest

he only realized his feelings after talking with mc in the girl's body right? so i believe it would be because of the personality, i think he could see her face because mc switched places with her so if they switched back then maybe he would also stop being able to see her face. he doesn't look like the type of guy that would fall in love because of someone's appearance to me, even tho he has face blindness
also mc's behavior compared to the girl's would be entirely different, when he's switched to the girl's body he still stood with his legs widened and when he sat down with ml he sat down like a dude so ml would most likely notice this and become aware of it like how you're aware of whatever habits your crush has
