Yeah i mean the way he pluck up his courage to apologize to heesoo was really something even tho it was really hurt his pride he still do it to make everything settle down, he was doing it for himself and kyungsoo so he can find some peace in a future

Yeah. Argument that he doesn't gain anything is convincing. However it is fiction, so I now that he will gain something...or someone ;) I probably don't really like him (he is pretty though) for his obsession, but if he really is recovering and he will change - I will happily look at him and Kyungsoo.
