I mean if Ray never existed in the first place, who is Kile? He apparently knows nothing of Ray according to Lucien - but from his memories Ray visited him sometimes. That meant they were somewhat close. Or they’re all false memories. I mean part of it kind of works since you never see Ray in the family photo even though they were twins. I mean it’s only natural to have a photo of your family in it, not excluding Ray. If he was trying to hide his existence then yeah but he could just keep it somewhere where no else can see.
It could make sense that his memories of Ray are false and he is him, but then why would Lucien find Ray, that easily? Something had to happen to make Ray regress into Kile.
Maybe Kile was Ray. Maybe he lost in a fight and was thought of as “dead”. But then why would Lucien believe he isn’t Ray? He could’ve been talking of personalities. If the title is taking about Ray being trapped somewhere, then why is the protagonist Kile? There’s some possibilities. 1) Ray is Kile. Memory loss/False memories maybe? Perhaps before he “died” he disappeared and there was no way he could be alive after his injuries? But did they just completely forget about the fact Ray had a twin and that could’ve been a huge weakness? Maybe. It’s a comic after all. But if he withstood his injuries, what about the fake memories/memory loss? Memory loss after injuries is plausible. But false memories? Where could that have came from? This is one possibility. 2) Ray is a split personality. Ray could’ve been a figment of his imagination, possibly an escape. When Ray does (apparently) so did the mental form of him. And Kile had to face it. But he forgot about his life as Ray? Could be. The way Lucien looked at him and said “He knows nothing.”, could be going back to the fact that he was speaking of Kile not knowing he “was” Ray. It’s difficult to write more of this but there is a possibility here too. There’s also the possibility of what we’re told now. Ray is dead. Maybe they did that to mess with our heads. Anyways this all I can think of now, but there’s only like 10 chapters. Let’s just see how it all plays out

Kile could exist without Ray. Like you said, Ray could be a figment of imagination. That's why there is a possibility of him not existing and only Kile. It's not entirely impossible because this story contains fantasy and power regarding psychological of some sorts, but there is only a little chance of that being true. And Kile knows who Ray is, but not what he is doing AFTER they got separated. It's either Kile remained in their biological parents, or they are orphans. The family photo that was shown is actually Kile's adoptive(maybe) family. That's why in the photo, only Kile was there. Lucien and even Kile said it that Ray's family was abusive. Which explains why he has those bruises or might be the cause of their home burning down.
Okay. So far, I don't know know about this Lucien being near Kile. First off, it's effin annoying seeing this goody-two-shoes Lucien acting like that around Kile. Do you think I would forget that "He's just a tool." at the beginning? No f*ckin' way. Second, I think this Asher guy must've met Ray before. It's either he did something to Ray, or the opposite, which would fit why he reacted like that.
I would like to really feel sad about Kile's twins', Ray, death. But I can't. My irritation of seeing Lucien is much stronger.
PS. I am also really wondering if Ray is really dead. I mean, the title actually says the opposite. This might mean that Kile's twin might be trapped somewhere, or he is actually Ray, or that Ray did not even exist in the first place..
