It was a BL manga where the male lead was playing an otome/dating game except the characters in the game were based on real people or had real people acting it out. I think he was more interested in a male side character though. The game devs eventually set up a premium service where you could pay money to meet up with the people in the game and the mc kept paying to meet up with the guy. It turned out that the guy was someone the mc had met when he was younger.
