I usually don't like that kind of troupe but this seriously is the cutest thing ever ♡
I also don't like it because they execute it wrong in other mangas with the whole "love at first sight" and then one sidedly remembering them while the other party doesn't even know they exist. This one? This one is too cute because they had multiple moments together to show the progression of love and the girl also remembered him, like that's huge to me
I saw someone commenting last ch how they didn’t like how this manga was another “oh I met you when we were kids and I still love you” type troupe but I think it’s adorable, like Umi was his first love bc she didn’t treated him differently and on the contrary was very kind to him and :(( he always wanted to make her happy :((
