That's what i thought too. His face did reminds me of having the same look when he was locked up by his father when he was younger which drove him to madness.
but why blame SH? He properly listened to Kim and went to talk to NK. He even told him his worries, like he thought he ran away after telling him his feelings and asked for a reason. And what he gets? Silence and 'sorry'? pfff really i'd be pissed as well
