Yeah, I feel bad for NK too. He has no obligation to babysit Seungho until Seungho pulls his shit together. It is 62 chapters in, however this is a slow burn story and it doesn't seem close to ending. The author still has plenty of time to properly wrap up his character development, I just feel bad that people are insulting her on Twitter and stuff because they don't approve of the way shes writing so I'm trying to offer another perspective

I never approve of rude, offensive criticisms. It's just plainly wrong. But if someone is paying for the story and present constrictive critique, then why not?
And about Nakyum and Seungho... Sometimes I just don't see the point of them being together after all of that tbh?
Seungho brought so much pain into NK's life that it's started getting unrealistic at this point for NK to fall for him.

i agree that we should leave the author out of this, but it's about time seungho changes himself. i don't want an abrupt development either, but it's episode 63 and seungho is WORSE than in season 1. im saying that because now he has feelings for nakyum, and the only thing he wants to do is hurt him again. really? that crumb of character development is basically nonexistent at this point. he's just starting to piss everyone off because it's always the same old shit with him.

I feel like people tend to forget that this isn't a romantic love story.
Its twisted and messed up. If people are coming here for fluff and people falling in love this might not be it for them. The author has stated that she plans on making a new story even more gruesome and twisted than this.
The author seems to care so much about her readers, I don't think its fair for people to get mad at her because it isn't a romantic love story.

It is promoted as romance (merch being full of lovey dobey NK and Seungho) but in reality their relationship can hardly be called anything beside abuse and power imbalance at this point.
And seriously there is nothing in-between fluff/falling in love and one character being mistreated for nearly every chapter?
Everyone seems really mad. But I just wanna put out there that SH's character development is a lot more realistic than what characters usually get. People don't just suddenly change, and SH realizing he loves NK is not going to undo a whole lifetime of abuse, trauma and the bad behavioral habits he developed because of it. Right now he feels hurt/betrayed because he believes NK (the only person he loves) tried to leave him. The only way he knows how to handle his emotions is through violence and anger, exactly how he was taught to handle emotions.
Am I happy with him? Nope. I'm also upset. BuT, I feel like saying he hasn't had any character development is inaccurate and insulting the author here is short-sighted.
