i saw the raws, season 1 ends at chap 38, it looked pretty interesting, we do still get a story with the other mafia dudes, but how its laid out makes it not so eye-catching since it’s focused on taesung and suyeong’s pov.
yeh i agree with you, im here since the art is such eye-candy, but who knows whats gonna happen? what if season 2 will hold good stuff, since we got laid out stuff that have yet to be explained or something, like taesung getting punched by some dood ( there’s a good chance it’s suyeong because theire age gap is only 3 years but idk ╮(￣▽￣)╭ ), and the mafia stuff ( the raws dood, pretty interesting to me)

Are you saying that in the remaining chapters for season 1 we'll get more story for the other yakuza (what is this called in korean, anyway?) stuff going on in the background of all this, let's call it, "romance", stuff? Or is what we have now all we're going to get in terms of the yakuza plot with the mole, etc in season 1?
Not to mention Soo-Young's character development as a former boxer or finding a proper treatment for his injury or his desire to pummel people into a pulp or the payment of his father's debt, all of which seems to have backslid since this "romance" stuff started. I got the impression that he just wanted to increase his pugilist skills, and then his hyung raped him, forcing him into "that kind" of relationship, which Soo-Young didn't seem to want or was generally uninterested in. But now he's interested in it since it's Tae-Seung? This smacks of stockholm syndrome again and it's low-key bugging me. IDK, maybe there's something lost in the translation here.
If I do end up dropping it, it's just gonna mean I'll stop paying for the chapters week-to-week until the series is complete, then will reread the whole thing here on mggo and decide if it turned out well enough to go back and unlock the rest of the chapters on Lezhin. While I can buy a lot of stuff on Lezhin, I can't buy everything. I usually limit my purchases to the series I liked a lot and might want to re-read.
I still have hopes for it as well.

OMG I can't believe I complained about 10 chapters ago about this one going off into the weeds, and here I am now, and it still has not found its way out yet. Where is the story? It had such a good setup. Now it's just nonsense smut. I mean, it's good-looking smut. But I just don't feel anything for anyone, and just can't believe that Big Daddy Tae-Seung could be so enamored with Soo-Young's lame arse. Sure, the initial attraction was explained, but not the growing (extreme) obsession. It just doesn't feel believable and takes me right out of the story.
I have been reading this week-to-week on Lezhin, but I may have to drop this if it can't find its way back to an actual plot soon. I'll give it till chapter 30, but after that, I'm done. What a shame; this one seemed like it was going to be really good. YMMV of course.
