I don't think so but there's a possibility. However, there's a huge possibility that the two characters will have a deeper relationship later on because first of all, the protag knows that Lewellyn or whatever is a murderer and Lewellyn probably gave the protag 2 options (1; operate with him and live or 2; try to do something and die)
Chances of the protag operating with Lewellyn are high and Lewellyn probably has his own deep shit story that convinced the protag to operate with him more. Basically, it's like a "standing at the end of the cliff" type of relationship where if ever one of them makes a mistake, they'll fall. The protag will probably get used to Lewellyn's deadass personality sooner or later considering how he's been acting these past few chapters. (There's also a high possibility that both of them will rely on eachother a lot in the end and love eachother although I am not sure if they'll have a bad ending but rn I don't see a killing stalking type of ending that will happen but maybe I'll think of it after a few chapters)
