Well it might be confusing but maybe for her, she wanted to introduce the guy to the dad, well, simply because they like each other not because of a deal. And she did tell her dad on the phone that she's married but i think the dad did not take it seriously. The guy also wanted to make sure that he has a stable job or not unemployed before she introduced him to her dad. That's just my understanding though....
OMG, thank you for telling me! I didn't consider his absence and his unemployment. Probably if she told her dad about her marriage again he'd probably not believe her and I guess that's what will happen in the next chap!

She told her dad through the phone that she got married and will bring the husband to be introduced to father.
But father doesn't believe her. Because she came back without her husband.
She couldn't bring her husband back to be introduced yet because the husband dont have a fixed job yet.
She planned to introduce the husband formally when the husband got a fixed(fulltime) job not just some gigs.
I don't get it, she wanted to get married to be able to decline his dad's request to come back. Now that she's married, she's keeping it a secret?
