I was just thinking about this! But Nakuym has such a strong will to live, he doesn't want to die. Despite his situation and difficult life, his loneliness and constant dangers. Despite being treated horribly and not having the best predictions for future, he still persists. And will rather endure that give up. That's impressive, though I often wish he could stand up for himself more, but then again. He's young and doesn't want to get hurt, he's polite. He did talk back many times anyway, but it never ends up well, so...
Sigh I hope things get better for him soon. Wouldn't mind a plot twist and find out he's actually from an important family
