That Yato is actually Tsukuyomi, a moon god and Amaterasu's brother.
how can you explain the summoning from yomi? you need the name of the god, and it was yabuto which was right... so I doubt your theory
First, it is not MY theory, it's just something I (and many noragami fan) read online, they have a whole page talking in detail about this topic, you can read it yourself. Second, the person who made this theory DID make another one about the summoning from yomi. From what I remember, basically, the "true" name of god has many interpretations, and one of them is that a god's true name is the name that they believe it is. For Yato, even though he hates the name Yaboku, in his mind, he BELIEVES that is his "true" name, that's why he answers to Yaboku. They suspect that if the theory is true, then since Yato has no memory of being Tsukuyomi, he does not connect himself with that name, thus will not answer to it, thus is not his real name at the moment.
Like I said above, there is a whole long page about it, explaining in detail about this theory. And hey, one of the fun thing about reading manga is making theory/prediction, whether it is true or not. And THAT's why it is called a theory, since it may or may not be true.
