No. Wait. You have a point here. That would have been an amazing plot development. I can already tell all of the potential male lead characters are going to be really smug. So having his precious coin melt and seeing his face fall distraught would have been Perfect. It would have set the precedent that things aren't just going to go the previous lives way. This life isn't about two women fighting each other, but one choosing to defy fate. I would have loved that.
